Ryan is currently rebuilding the barrier around the forest in his territory. If he neglects it, the monsters living in the forest will escape and endanger the people of the territory. Until now, the royal court magician had been dispatched there periodically, but when he was demoted to commoner status, his brother thrust the territory, including this troublesome forest, on him along with his title, and the duties automatically became Ryan’s. At first he was annoyed at the trouble, but Astram Forest is a treasure trove for an apothecary, as it allows him to gather rare monster materials and plants. So he made amends.
The barrier here is special and only reacts to monsters, so people are free to enter and leave. Whenever Ryan has a long break, he often leaves the royal capital and spends it here in Astram.
In reality, he wanted to stay at home and just research and compound medicines, but perhaps because he had a talent for it, he quickly rose to prominence as a knight, and before he knew it, he had risen to the position of Commander of the Knights. Even with his original title of King’s younger brother, women flocked to him and it was annoying, but after he gained the title of Commander of the Knights, it was hell. He gave up on his womanizing appearance and now looks more like this, but women still flock to him. He had a bushy mane, sharp eyes, a mouth larger than a human’s, and hands that were not much different from those of a human, but his whole body was covered in fur. Although he was called a beastman, anyone who saw him would probably judge him to be no different from a beast.
If he was unfamiliar with beastmen, he must be from another country. So, what should he do? Should he turn back into a human form to ease her guard? While he was pondering this, the woman collapsed backwards as if in slow motion. Ryan hurriedly squatted down to support her, checking her complexion and whether she was breathing, when he heard a steady hissing sound.

It would be inhumane to just leave her like this. Ryan picked up the woman, cast a defensive spell on her, and headed for the exit of the forest.
The mansion Ryan stays in when he comes to Astrum is quite small for a duke’s house. However, it is usually only occupied by the caretaker and his wife, and the larger the mansion, the more difficult it is to manage and hire servants. Ryan in particular was inundated with applicants due to his background, and all of them looked at Ryan with the eyes of a carnivorous animal stalking its prey, giving him goosebumps all over his body.
Therefore, the only people around Ryan are his former colleagues, the butler, the maid, and the chef, and he brings them all with him when he comes to the estate. She had fair skin, and her deep blue eyes, reminiscent of the sea, were framed by long eyelashes that cast shadows around her eyes.
However, her normally radiant, clear white skin was pale and unhealthy, and her eyes were blank and lifeless, as if she was looking off into the distance. However, when her eyes met Ryan’s crimson ones, he felt as if a little light had lit up in them. Perhaps because it was the second time, she didn’t seem surprised, and he spoke to her gently, trying not to scare her.

“This is Ryan Astram. He is the man who saved you from the monsters in the forest, and the younger brother of His Majesty the current King of the Kingdom of Elgand.”

Lewis immediately rushes out of the room with the doctor after receiving the order, and the sound of the door closing echoes.
