Unknown Places
The story is about a girl who is kidnapped from her town and wakes up in an unfamiliar room. The whole thing seems to be longer than I thought, so the second episode is still a peaceful(?) part.
Since their names appear from episode 2 onwards, there is a brief character introduction in the afterword, but it’s not necessary to read it.
“…Hmm…Huh, where am I…”
I woke up and found myself in an unfamiliar room, with bright morning sunlight streaming in through a nearby window.
“Why am I in a place like this…?”
It was not the hotel room I was staying in, nor was it my familiar home. Looking around, the room was spacious, with luxuriously decorated furniture and accessories neatly arranged.
Looking down at my body, I realized that I was wearing unfamiliar clothing, a soft dress. My memory is hazy, but I wonder when I changed into it.
The scenery that met my eyes and my own outfit were so gorgeous and beautiful that I felt as if I had wandered into a picture book.
While I was trying to remember what had happened with this uneasy feeling, I heard a door open from the back of the room. I turned towards the sound and saw someone entering the room.
“a……”
The man who entered looked familiar. His distinctive deep blue eyes caught my gaze and he walked towards me. His golden hair swayed with his steps, sparkling in the morning sunlight streaming in through the window.
“~?~”
As I was just staring blankly at him, he spoke to me with a gentle smile.
“Ummm… Good morning…”
I had no idea what he was saying, but he didn’t seem hostile at all, so I decided to say hello.
“…! Good morning! Ohayou!”
“Oh, Japanese! You understand it…? Hey, where am I? Who are you?”
I was surprised to hear such a familiar phrase come out of his mouth. Thinking that maybe we could communicate, I tried asking him in Japanese, but he just tilted his head in confusion.
Apparently, he just happened to know the greeting and didn’t understand any other Japanese.
“Ummm… Yua, what time are you?”
“~~! ~~, Allan.”
“Aran, san?”
When I asked him his name again using the English words I knew, it seemed like I understood. When I called out what sounded like his name, Alan-san smiled happily.
“Mei, uuuh”
“What, why my name?”
When I was surprised to hear my name come out of his mouth, even though I hadn’t told him, Alan took out something familiar from his suit pocket and showed it to me.
“Oh! My passport…”
Apparently he saw my passport and knew my name. Normally you have to carry it with you at all times when abroad, so I don’t remember giving it to anyone… but maybe I dropped it and he picked it up.
“Um, can I have that back? P-please!”
Whatever it is, I have to be careful not to lose it this time. Thinking this, I try to communicate with gestures.
Alan looked at me with a smile and, without any hesitation, tore up the passport he was holding.
“picture……”
Alan tore the pages one by one without seeming to care that I was speechless. I could only watch the scene in shock. When I noticed, the passports, which had turned into mere scraps of paper, were scattered at his feet.
Is it okay if I lose my passport? Can I get a new one right away? Actually, I can’t go back to Japan without it…
The panic cleared my mind, which had been hazy since waking up, and I began to remember the events before I woke up. At the same time, I realized something important.

I got separated from the two of them in town, and by chance I met Alan, so I followed him… I felt something hit me in the face, and before I knew it, I was in this room.
Why couldn’t I remember right away? Alan must have brought me here.
“~~~~,~~!”
Even though I understood the situation, I still had no idea what his purpose was, and I was shaken. What does this person want? Why was I brought here? What are the two of them doing now?
“Ummm… well…”
“?”
Alan tilted his head in confusion as I hesitated to speak. There were many things I needed to ask him, but I couldn’t think of the words to say, which was frustrating. I should have studied English more.
“Uh, uh… what should I do…”
I don’t know where they are, let alone where I am. I’m not in Japan, so I can’t communicate well, and I’m not sure if I can trust Alan, who was the only person I could rely on.
I should have been confused, but my mind was so calm and understanding of the situation that it was annoying. Unable to bear the anxiety that was overflowing from my mind, tears welled up in my eyes.

Seeing that I had finally started to cry, Alan looked surprised and called out to me in a concerned manner. He bent down to look into my face, and our eyes met perfectly. Being stared at so closely made me feel a bit embarrassed.
Maybe he was worried about me. At the very least, he didn’t seem to have any ill intentions. I still wasn’t sure if Alan was a bad person or a kind person. Feeling awkward, I averted my eyes from our eyes.
“H-Hya! What…?!”
Suddenly, something warm and slimy hit me in the face. The suddenness made me jump in shock. It felt as if a tongue was licking the area around my eyes, where tears had been running down.
If he was a cat or something, it would be cute, but he was a grown man. I was so confused that I pushed him hard in the chest. Actually, he didn’t even budge when I tried to push him.
“, huh…?”
At that moment, I felt a tingling sensation on my skin, just for a moment. I’ve never actually experienced this, but it felt like I was being stared at by some terrifying beast.
I reflexively looked up to see Alan’s expression, but his face, with its gentle smile, looked the same as before.
“Um, um… I’m sorry for pushing you, I’m sure you were just being considerate of me…”
Still, I felt like I had done something wrong, and words of apology came out of my mouth. I don’t know if he understood my gratitude, but he didn’t seem angry.
“~~~”
“Huh?”
Before I could stop him, Alan had already embraced me with his large body. My small body was completely contained in his arms, and I couldn’t move. Again, this sudden action that I didn’t understand made me freeze up.
Perhaps sensing my tension, he gently patted my back as if soothing a child. I’ve been hugged by both my parents before, but the man in front of me was much muscular than my father, even though we were both men. And from his jet-black suit, I could smell an unfamiliar scent that was a mixture of sweet and slightly bitter tobacco.
I suddenly remember the nostalgic, gentle scent I felt when my mother hugged me. I should have felt so safe at that time. I never knew that touching an unfamiliar body temperature could make me feel so uneasy.

While I was frozen, not knowing what to do, Alan-san stroked my head and started humming a song. I’d never heard it before, but maybe… a lullaby? Because I was crying?
As I listened to the song as if I was soothing a baby, perhaps as a reaction to the tension I had been feeling earlier, I gradually began to relax.
What on earth did he want to do by bringing me here? He had even prepared a bedroom and new clothes for me. As I was thinking about this, a possibility suddenly occurred to me.
I see. Could it be that this person… brought me to a place like this to protect me temporarily while I was lost? He’s been treating me like a spoiled child, and it makes sense why I feel like he’s overprotective and worried about me.
If that’s the case, maybe he is trying to help me as I thought at first. His actions are just a little, no, quite outlandish, and I can’t understand what he’s saying…
For the time being, I decided to believe that he was not a dangerous person. I still didn’t know why my passport had been torn up, and my sense of caution had not completely disappeared.
“…First, we need to think of a way to find our fathers…”
While thinking in Alan’s arms, I muttered softly. Now that I had calmed down, I felt like I could calmly sort out the situation. First of all, I had to communicate with Alan.
If I could learn about Alan and try my best to convey my feelings, then surely the situation would be better than it is now. With this in mind, I felt a little lighter.

Alan
German. Mafia. German is his native language, and he can speak a little English, but he is completely unfamiliar with Japanese (when he found out she was from Japan, he quickly looked up how to greet her so they could communicate).
